60 Powerful Journal Prompts to Build Self-Esteem and Confidence

A woman with high self-esteem and confidence stands looking proud

Are you someone that has struggled with their self-esteem?

I know I am. Confidence has never been a strong suit of mine. Fake confidence? Sure. I somehow became an expert at that in my late teens and it sort of bled over into my young adulthood. But deep down I was always deeply insecure about myself.

I think that fake confidence must have been a coping mechanism or survival skill I developed. After moving to a new school and new part of town when my parents divorced, I didn’t know how to make friends. So I became really shy, and quiet and I didn’t say much.

Confidence can be such a powerful tool if you can develop it in the correct way, and I find it is all about balance.

You don’t want to lack self-esteem, but at the same time, when we become overconfident we can also get ourselves into trouble.

But healthy confidence gives us the courage and power to be exactly who we want to be and live the life we dream about.

Luckily, there are journal prompts that can help us to develop the right amount of confidence that we could all use in our lives.
